The past week was a whirlwind! I was in town last weekend and used the time to attempt to catch up on life. Of course, it couldn’t be all chores and no play. I met a friend in Ouchy (the area along the lake front in Lausanne) for a walk and a paddle boat ride. Originally, the weather called for rain, but it turned out to be a lovely day!
I see a lot of paddle boat rides in my future! Especially now that I know that you can rent ones with a slide! The water is still pretty cold, but by July or August, I think I’m going to be ready!
On Sunday after church, I went to brunch at an adorable spot called L’Equisse – just a few minutes away from the church near the Sauvabelin Forest. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed a real brunch, including eggs & bacon! I’m sad I didn’t take a picture to show you how adorable the restaurant was. How about one from Google?
The work week was busy, busy, busy. I have several big things coming in July, so it’s a little nutty preparing all of the details, building presentations, etc. However, I managed to sneak out one night for a surprise birthday gathering. Between all of the birthdays and good-byes around here, there always seems to be something to celebrate.
[Big smiles from the Birthday Boy!]
