Upon returning to Switzerland, several people asked me what my favorite thing was in Ireland. While we did a number of fantastic things, I have to say the Cliffs of Moher were my absolute favorite! My brother visited 10 years ago, and that was the first time I ever heard of them. The image on the postcard he sent me was so magnificent. I just knew I needed to see it myself. It took a while, but I finally made it, and I was not disappointed.
Before sharing WAY too many photos with you, let me just say that I had two shocks during our visit:
- It was SO. INCREDIBLY. WINDY (but thankfully, not foggy)!
- There are no guard rails. As in, you could jump / fall / slip / walk (or maybe even blow) off the ledge without any effort!
They must feel like they do an appropriate job of warning you with these signs:
But those signs sure didn’t keep us from peaking over the edge!
I couldn’t contain myself and simply had to take a jumping photo at such a phenomenal location. I took this opportunity to teach my mama how to do a jumping photo, too! I can’t decide which one I like best! They all make me laugh out loud!
Isn’t this place just jaw-dropping, take-your-breath-away, leave-you-speechless beautiful?!?!?
[That’s a long way down!]
I’m so glad we got to visit this wonder together! I know neither of us will ever forget it!
