I know, I know…ANOTHER good-bye. Actually, July marked the end of assignments for two colleagues, who have both become dear friends. One left about two weeks ago. We celebrated with him the night before his departure – sharing stories, laughs, and meat, cheese, and wine. (How very Swiss of us!)
[I’m so excited that he is moving to St. Louis! Here’s hoping we can make a Cardinals fan out of a guy from Chicago!]
[So fun to have a former expat visiting to help us celebrate!]
[Someone was making sure we ate enough cured meats and cheeses]
[The last good-bye celebration before his own.]
Tonight was good-bye number two – celebrated by lots of friends from the Americas and beyond! And what an incredibly beautiful night to celebrate!
May your next adventures be fantastic ones! The US expat family will miss both of you. I made so many fun memories with y’all…from one of the first nights we hung out at the Montreux Christmas Market, to dinners, cookouts, brinners, and brunches at each others’ homes…to celebrating holidays together – 4th of July, Friendsgiving, and Christmas Eve (both years!)…to celebrating birthdays for big kids (and little kids, too)…to hiking at Les Pleiades, Lavaux, and Lac de Taney…to cheering on the US in the World Cup…to my one and only sailing lesson…to happy hours at the end of busy weeks…to watching American football… I’m sad for now, but I know there will be future reunions! A bientôt, mes amis!
