One of my bosses is moving to Panama at the end of the week. He’s been here for my entire assignment, and while I’m excited for his next adventure, it will be strange to not have someone greeting me with an enthusiastic “Megan, Megan” every time he walks in the door of our office. We took work trips to Paris, London, Prague (which ended in a overnight roadtrip from Frankfurt back to Vevey), Sao Paulo, Mexico City, and Casablanca together. He was instrumental in teaching me about Nestle culture, how to work in the Centre, facilitation, and hosting an effective workshop. I got to meet his second baby just a few days after he was born, and we celebrated 4th of July and Christmas Eve together my first year here.
Last Thursday, he and his lovely wife (who baked amazing cupcakes for my birthday last year AND the year before!) hosted a farewell fondue at Les Trois Sifflets in Vevey. I think I was the only non-Spanish speaker in attendance, but I was so happy to celebrate with them.
I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I can’t wait to visit Panama City!
