Despite my long “to do” list and all of the logistics that need to be coordinated, I am trying my best to be present every day this month. To reflect on the things I love and will miss about this place. To make time to be with the friends who have made this experience more remarkable than I could have hoped.
Last night, two friends invited me over for dinner. They actually moved into my building a few weeks ago, which is so fun! They have a visitor from Canada in town right now, and they invited two others to join us, too.
Our chef for the evening is Italian. I laughed when he said that he is a son of globalization – meaning that his dishes are not purely Italian, but rather a blend of things he loves from all over the world. All I know is that it was delicious!!
