I don’t think I did any fundraiser activities while I was in Switzerland. But, this weekend I found myself at two different events.
Friday night was a night of Zumba – a fundraiser for the Tata Sisterhood. This foundation was started by Tara Boland, a dear friend of my Barnacle. It is focused on providing support to women battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Tara loved Zumba, which is why this is one of their major events during the year. I’m terrible at Zumba, but it was fun to do it with hundreds of women in PINK!
On Saturday night, I attended a dinner and auction for Guardian Angel Settlement Association. One of my colleagues is President of the Board, and he invited us to join him. This charity was founded in St. Louis 157 years ago! Today, their primary focus is early childhood education along with some other social work efforts. It was fun to attend with a sweet friend & her husband. I missed them while I was in Europe!
